These terms govern access to and use of the DossX platform, dossx.com, and any site built on DossX. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have the authority to do so.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These terms form a binding agreement between you ("Subscriber," "you") and DossX. They apply alongside our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you don't agree to these terms, don't use the platform.
2. Description of Service
DossX is a proprietary, custom-built content management platform. Every subscription includes the platform as one maintained system: a visual page builder, an AI content assistant, an AI chatbot, built-in e-commerce, and a role-based editorial workflow — not a base product plus separately purchased plugins. Specific features available on a given account depend on the subscription plan selected at signup.
3. Accounts & Registration
- You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account
- You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account
- You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accounts are for use by the subscriber who created them, or their authorized team members under the plan's admin-seat limits
4. Subscriptions, Fees & Billing
- Subscriptions are billed per site, monthly or annually, per the plan selected at signup or in an order confirmation
- Where applicable, an initial one-time build fee applies separately from the recurring subscription
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period
- Fees may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal
- Overage charges (storage, traffic, AI usage, email sends) bill in arrears on the following billing cycle
- Refunds are available on a pro-rated basis within the first 14 days of a first paid billing cycle; no refunds after that window, and build fees are non-refundable once work has started
- Non-payment past 7 days may move a site to a read-only state; content is preserved for 30 days before removal
Current pricing details are set out in your order confirmation or signed agreement, which control over any conflicting figure elsewhere.
5. License Grant & Restrictions
DossX is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms and your active subscription, DossX grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the platform to build, operate, and publish the number of sites included in your plan.
You may not:
- Sublicense, resell, or redistribute the DossX platform itself — as distinct from websites built on it — without a signed reseller agreement
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the platform's underlying source, content models, or architecture
- Operate more live sites than your plan's included site count without adding the corresponding license or add-on
- Attempt to circumvent per-site data isolation controls on a multi-site account
- Exceed fair-use limits on storage, traffic, or AI usage in a way that degrades service for other subscribers
6. Subscriber Content & Responsibility
You retain full ownership of the content, customer data, and brand assets you create or upload to DossX. You're solely responsible for that content — including its legality, accuracy, and any rights needed to publish it. DossX doesn't review subscriber content before publication and isn't responsible for what subscribers publish, subject to our right to remove content that violates Section 9 (Acceptable Use) or applicable law.
7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
The AI content assistant and AI chatbot generate output based on automated systems and may produce content that is inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purposes. Drafts from the content assistant are intended for human review before publication, and that review is required for any regulated or safety-sensitive content category. You're responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before it's published or relied upon, and DossX is not liable for consequences of publishing unreviewed AI output.
8. E-Commerce & Payment Processing
- Built-in e-commerce features let subscribers sell products or services through their own sites
- Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe); DossX does not directly handle or store full payment card details
- Transactions between a subscriber and that subscriber's own customers are between them — DossX is not a party to those sales
- Subscribers are responsible for their own tax obligations, product legality, fulfillment, and compliance with applicable consumer-protection law for anything they sell through their site
9. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use DossX to:
- Publish unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or infringing content
- Distribute malware or attempt to compromise the platform's security
- Send spam or engage in unsolicited bulk messaging through built-in email features
- Abuse the AI content assistant or chatbot to generate content that violates law or these terms
- Attempt to access another subscriber's account, site, or data without authorization
- Resell or repackage the DossX platform itself as a competing product outside a signed reseller agreement
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.
10. Agency, Reseller & White-Label Terms
Applies to Agency and Enterprise plans.
- Agencies may operate client sites on DossX and bill their own clients directly; DossX has no direct contractual relationship with an agency's end clients
- The white-label option removes DossX branding from the client-facing admin, included in Agency-plan pricing
- The agency is responsible for its own client agreements, first-line support, and payment collection; DossX's obligations run to the agency, not to the agency's clients
- Each client site's data and AI chatbot context is isolated from every other site on the account, enforced in code
11. Intellectual Property
DossX retains all ownership of the platform itself — the codebase, content models, block library, AI systems, and every underlying system it runs on, along with the DossX name and logo. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you. Your subscription is a license to use the platform, not a copy of it, and doesn't grant rights to DossX's trademarks except as needed to reasonably describe that your site runs on DossX.
12. Termination
- You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms, non-payment, or unlawful use of the platform
- Upon termination, you have 30 days to export your content before the site and its data are permanently deleted
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 11, 13, 14, and 15 — do
13. Disclaimers & Warranties
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available." Except for a custom service-level agreement negotiated under an Enterprise plan, DossX does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. DossX makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, legality, or fitness of AI-generated content.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DossX will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the platform. DossX's total liability for any claim arising from these terms will not exceed the amount you paid DossX in the twelve months preceding the claim.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold DossX harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the platform in violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction specified in your order confirmation or signed agreement, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the manner specified there.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and, where required, we'll provide additional notice before they take effect.
